Our professionals are seasoned veterans of the software development industry who have worked on Wall Street for many years. That said, we are always open to finding and developing new talent and taking on existing highly talented individuals.
As necessary, we may put our consultants through an intensive period of training. Additionally, assuming the new trainee makes it through this initial period, we may place a new consultant with an already experienced THETICA professional and monitor their progress closely to ensure that the new consultant matches up to our incredibly high standards. This means that we devote a lot of time and attention to our consultants to fully ascertain that they will make the grade and deliver the top-notch solutions that we have come to be known for.
Here are some of the qualities that we look for:
1. Financial Markets Product Knowledge. We have found that the more financial markets experience and knowledge that a person has, the more likely they will be able to succeed. Depending on the situation, we may decide to train an individual ourselves if he/she passes a sufficient number of our other criteria.
2. Programming Background. College degrees are NOT necessarily required - only a tremendous ability to produce results. The types of languages may have some bearing but are not the ultimate decision point for us. The results you have gotten in the past weigh heavily on our decision. Show us that you can produce results and that you're hungry to produce great results for our clients and we may consider you.
3. Communication Skills. The ability to communicate with Wall Street business personnel is a tremendously important ability for us. We pride ourselves on our ability to interact cooperatively and collaboratively with our clients at all times. If your communication skills are lacking, do NOT apply. This quality, above all others, is probably the most important.
